In an attempt to create more content, I’ve decided to create a weekly entry listing interesting, informative (and sometimes useless) links that I’ve found over the past 7 days.
1. The laws of UX
“A collection of the key maxims that designers must consider when building user interfaces“. Some really useful resources to refer to here.
2. Redesign of The Guardian logo masthead and website
I preferred the old version of the website, but prefer parts of the new logo. Mainly, I think the ‘The‘ is too big and it irritates me that its on the right of the header. Maybe it’ll grow on me.
3. The Hawaii false alert wasn’t user error – it was a failure of design
Demonstrating the consequences of a poorly designed interface.
4. Social Decay – The imagined decaying storefronts of Facebook, Google, and Instagram
Pretty pointless, but good to look at.
5. Crazy Headlines
A collection of the most weird, wonderful, abstract and ‘out there’ news from around the globe…but mainly the Metro. A funny personal project between a few mates. Guaranteed to waste your time.
